The Youth Exchange Program is conducted by Lions who have an interest in improving international relations and sponsoring a youth activity.
· Study the District Youth Exchange Guide to become familiar with the policy statement on youth activities and international relations.
· Review past district youth exchange activities. Formulate and implement a plan to accomplish exchange goals.
· Establish an exchange program with a Lions district in another country.
· Encourage clubs in the district to participate in youth exchange.
· Screen host families and participating youth.
· Ascertain that all youth traveling abroad have the necessary travel documents and are adequately insured.
· Consider district sponsorship of an International Youth Camp.
· Keep the district governor and the international office informed of exchange agreements.
