The first object of Lionism, to create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world, emphasizes the importance of international understanding and cooperation (commonly known as international relations) in any Lions program.
· Read the District International Understanding and Cooperation Chairman Guide.
· Work with LCIF and youth exchange chairmen when necessary.
· Determine the status of this program in the district.
· Plan goals for the district.
· Understand some of the activities in which Lions can engage:
Lions Interclub Program
International friendship contacts
Stamp exchanges
Club and school twinnings
International partnership through Lionism
United Nations information activities, including Lions Day with the
United Nations
Vocational assistance
· Encourage clubs in the district to participate in these programs.
